IMO brings together 600 of the brightest young minds from over 100 countries to compete, connect, and contribute to an international fellowship of mathematicians. Eric's selection and his perfect USAMO score this year are the result of his years of hard work and dedication. The Lynbrook community could not be more proud of Eric! CCS Scholastic Championship Team - Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Volleyball team for being selected by The Central Coast Section of the California Interscholastic Federation as recipients of the 2022-2023 Spring Season Scholastic Championship Team Awards. "These awards recognize the top five Varsity teams, from each Central Coast Section sport, with the highest collective Grade Point Average of all teams competing in that sport during that season of competition. The student-athletes involved have achieved distinction in the classroom, and at the same time, have committed themselves to participation in interscholastic athletics. Their academic performance is yet another indication that such athletic participation enhances classroom activities." Hello, Lynbrook! AP Exams are underway: Between May 1-19 approximately 3,200 AP exams will be taken by 1,200 Lynbrook students across all grade levels. Students will be excused from classes during their exam testing time only.It is important to remember that AP exams are not more important than a student's classes. Teachers will be flexible with students who are excused to take exams, but students are responsible for the work and learning that they miss. Students should not miss school to stay home and study for an AP exam. Cramming is not an effective study strategy and missed school makes students fall behind. Missed classes add to a student's stress level.
Second Grading Period Progress Grades Posted: Official progress grades were posted in the Infinite Campus portal on Friday, May 5, 2023. Advisory on Friday, May 19, 2023: On Friday, May 19, 2023, two weeks from now, students will stay with their 4th period teacher for the last Advisory lesson of the year. Senior Prom, May 12, 2023: As with all extracurricular evening events, students are expected to be in school on the day of an evening event. Seniors who plan to attend the prom in the evening must attend their classes on Friday. A student that is too ill to attend school is too ill to attend the prom. Have relaxing weekend, Mrs. Jackson Principal |
