News & Information Valentine's Concert - The Lynbrook Choirs will present a Valentine's Concert on Wednesday, February 15th at 7:00 PM in the cafeteria. Come hear a lovely assortment of love songs sung lovingly by the choirs. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased ahead of time at the LHS ASB store. Valentine's Club Market - The Valentine's Club Market is a new event where you can buy food, items like candles and jewelry, and participate in fun activities all provided by the clubs, classes, and virtual enterprise businesses of Lynbrook High School. The event will be in the Quad from 4-6 PM on Thursday, February 16th, and admission is free. See Lynbrook ASB Instagram for more information. President's Week Break - There will be no school February 20-24 for the President's Week break. STTAR Tutor Program - Students who would like to improve their grade in a particular subject may request a STTAR tutor. A STTAR tutor can assist with reviewing course material, organization, and give tips on improving study skills. Homework Center - Students may drop in to Homework Center after school in the Library and get started on assignments. Student tutors are available until 4:45 pm on Homework Center days. Theatre Festival Awards - We congratulate the Studio 74 students who won awards at last weekend's Lenaea Theatre Festival. This annual festival hosts 62 schools and over 1500 students from Northern and Central California. Five Lynbrook students received awards for pieces they prepared and performed for the festival: - Monologues - Pranav Tallapaka (Silver), Joshua Chu (Silver)
- Duo Scenes - Alexis Giaquinta and Samantha Leong (Bronze)
- Set Design - Charlie Dai (Bronze)
Reflections Art Program - The Cupertino-Fremont-Sunnyvale Council of PTAs recently honored the participants of the annual PTA Reflections contest. The National Reflections Art Program envites students to unleash their creative talents and receive positive recognition for their original works of art. The 2022-2023 theme was "Show Your Voice!" The following Lynbrook students were recognized: - Varsha Ganesh, 11th grade received Honorable Mention for "I Understand" in Literature Category
- Joyce Cheung, 9th grade received Award of Merit for "My Voice, My Choice" in Music Composition Category
- Anish Lakkapragada, 11th grade received Award of Merit for "The Forgotten Voices" in Photography Category (pictured above)
- Amy Tang, 9th grade received Award of Merit for "bravery" in Visual Arts Category (pictured above)
- Medha Lolayekar, 12th grade received Participation Award for "Art for the Planet" in Dance Choreography Category

Extra love will be in the air next week. Love is so much more than romance and roses. It is the abiding support of a friend, the hug of a parent, the commaradere of a teammate, the warm reassurance from teachers and counselors, and an unexpected smile on an overcast day. Love needs more than a one-day celebration .Students still have time to purchase a Singing Valentine from the Lynbrook Choirs. Monday is the last day to buy and decorate your Singing Valentines. Bring $5 ito the quad at lunch. The singing telegrams will be delivered 3rd period on Tuesday. On Wednesday, February 15, come to the Lynbrook cafe to hear the choirs fill the air with song, at the Valentines Concert (tickets). Come to campus on Thursday, February 16, from 4-6 pm to Share the Love at the Valentines Market. This event is sponsored and organized by Grad Night Boosters and the Lynbrook clubs, classes, and virtual enterprise businesses. Advisory, 2/17/23 On Friday, February 17, all students will remain in their 4th period class for Advisory. There will be a special activity in honor of Black History Month. Trailblazing Scientists Webinar: The American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology MAC, in recognition of Black History Month and the significant role Black scientists have in advancing biomedical research, is partnering with the NBPA to highlight the research of Black postdocs in a virtual research talk series that will cover a range of biochemistry and molecular biology topics. If you LOVE biochemistry or molecular biology and want to learn about the latest research, register for the webinar and join on February 16, 2023, 5-8 pm (Pacific time). The virtual event is free, but registration is required. Parent Workshop Series - In collaboration with Project Cornerstone, FUHSD is offering a series of free workshops for parents, guardians, and caring adults interested in strengthening their relationships with their teens.
