A Note from Principal Jackson Hello, Lynbrook! We are down to the wire for the November 1, 2022, early college application deadline. Remember, Seniors, if time is getting away from you, give yourself a break. You can always apply at the regular decision deadline (unless a particular college requires an early application for a specific program). Halloween on Monday, 10/31- Students are allowed to wear costumes that follow the costume guidelines provided in this newsletter. It is very important that students choose their costumes wisely. Parents and guardians, check in with your student about their plans for Halloween. Schedule for Wednesday of Thanksgiving Week- The schedule for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving has been changed slightly. The ending time of the school day is different. Please review the updated schedule carefully . |

California State Testing Update- The California State Department of Education released the CAASPP scores for the students who tested in 2021-22. Last year was the first time since 2018-19 that the entire class of eleventh grade students was assessed at Lynbrook. State testing gives us an idea of how our students are progressing and mastering the skills and concepts of English, Math and Science that all students in the state are expected to know. Lynbrook's CAASPP scores are UP on the ELA, Math, and Science assessments. These scores are encouraging data that affirm that through a most difficult time in our recent history, our teachers did an outstanding job shifting their practice and curriculum online, all while managing the challenges of their own families and lives; and our students, with the incredible support of their parents and guardians, remained dedicated to learning and focusing on their studies. The Fremont Union High School District leaders and Board of Trustees were instrumental in providing the support and tools for successful teaching and learning. The growth in scores is a testament to the excellence of our students, staff, and district. The images below are screenshots from the state testing reporting website. Feeling proud and fortunate to serve you, Mrs. Maria Jackson Principal |
