Congratulations Lynbrook Science Bowl does it again! - Congratulations to the Lynbrook Science Bowl team who secured first place at Stanford's SLAC Regional Science Bowl. The team has prevailed over all other high-performing public and private schools in our area for six out of the last eight years. We congratulate Anirudh Bharadwaj, William Huang, Antone Jung, David Lee, Eric Shen, and their coach Mr. Leung and wish them luck at the national competition in March. | Note from Principal Jackson Take time to relax and recharge When people are busy taking on the challenges of life, they can be so busy that they forget how to relax. What one person does to relax may not work for someone else. If you are a task oriented busy person, you may need some help learning how to chill out. Here is an article of tips from a Stanford University Wellness Coach to inspire you. |

Brief COVID Update At Lynbrook, we had 0, that is right, ZERO reported positive cases of COVID-19 last week! The number of COVID-19 has dropped across the Santa Clara Valley according to the SARS-CoV-2 Sewage Monitoring Data website. Many people may travel and spend time with loved ones from outside the area during the break. People who traveled are encouraged to test before school resumes on Monday. If you do not have a home testing kit, testing will be available on Sunday, February 27, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at our District Office campus, located at 589 W. Fremont Avenue. The testing will be in Portable 1 at the back of the campus. Please view this map for the exact location. What about masks? As of today, I have not received a directive to discontinue the mask requirement at Lynbrook. The Santa Clara County top health officer, Dr. Sara Cody "points to a real-world study released this month by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that found consistently wearing masks inside public places does reduce the chances of getting COVID-19, especially if they're N95//KN95 masks" (Mercury News). The mask mandate will be lifted when the county reaches an 80% vaccination rate, stable hospitalizations, and a seven-day average of 550 cases. As of February 19, 2022, Santa Clara County meets one out of the three metrics. When school resumes on Monday, February 28, 2022, we will continue masking and working together to stay well. If there is any change in this directive, I will send a special email to the Lynbrook community. |

They take on the Branham Bruins on our home court on Thursday night at 7 pm for their third game. Have a reviving, restful break! Mrs. Jackson follow me on Instagram @lynbrookvikes |
