The Week Ahead

PSAT for JUNIORS ONLY who have already registered for the exam: Mark your calendar for the date and time of the PSAT exam on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Testing begins promptly at 8:00 am and ends approximately at 11:45 am. Arrive early for pre-administration instructions. All students not taking the exam will attend Homeroom.

LHS Wellness: During this time of school closure and remote learning we want your school experience to be successful. You can request to speak with a School Based Therapist or School Psychologist while campus is closed by following the wellness link below. We take appointments during regular school hours, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM. LHS WELLNESS 21

Virtual Homework Center: Homework Center is open to all students who need assistance with schoolwork. Peer tutors are available to help with most subjects during Homework Center hours. LYNBROOK MAIN OFFICE HOURS-- Reminder Campus remains closed: To follow health and safety guidelines, the Lynbrook High School campus is closed to students, parents, and visitors except for limited business that is conducted through the window at the main office on Monday – Friday 9:00AM – 3:00PM. If you have any questions, contact the front office by phone (408.366.7700) or fax (408.257.0551). People are not allowed to walk or bike on campus or use the track and fields.

Dear Lynbrook,

Though the insurrection at the US Capitol building was a terrible event in our history, I remain hopeful. This country has faced difficult days in the past and we have made it through by our dedication to the ideals of democracy. May January 6th be a lesson in the fragility and value of our democratic republic. I look forward to the renewed sense of unity and respect for the guiding principles of our nation that this year will inspire.

2021 is here. We have a new year with the challenges of the last one lingering. We need to be steadfast in our commitment to mask-wearing, social-distancing, and hand-washing. The vaccine is being dispensed, and as more and more of us receive it, the grip of the virus will loosen on our daily lives. We need to be diligent and patient. I look forward to the new scientific advances this year will bring.

The new semester is here! Everyone starts off with a clean slate. Set goals for yourself and remember don't wait too long to ask for help. I look forward to celebrating your academic and intellectual growth.

First semester grades will be mailed home and posted to Infinite Campus on Friday, January 15, 2021. Semester grades will not have + or -. These grades are posted on the transcript, count as credit toward graduation, and are reported to colleges when students apply.
