Senior Finals & Grade 9-11 Finals Schedule:
National Spanish Exam - Congratulations to our Lynbrook High School Spanish students who attained national recognition for excellent performance on the 2023 Spanish National Examinations. Students from Lynbrook earned a total of 5 gold, 4 silver and 5 bronze medals along with 1 honorable mention. "Attaining a medal or honorable mention for any student on the National Spanish Examinations is very prestigious," said Lisa Greenman, National Director of the Exams, "because the exams are the largest of their kind in the United States with nearly 85,000 students participating in 2023." Students from LHS have a long history of high achievement on these exams and were taught by Spanish teachers, Sra. Morelos, Sra. Revilla, Sra. Brevnov and Sr. Esquivel. The National Spanish Examinations are administered each year in grades 6 through 12, and are sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. A Note from Principal Jackson
I have noticed that some students are easing into summer mode just a little too soon. Many more students are arriving late to school in the mornings. Friends are lingering longer in the quad during open tutorial, brunch, and lunch. There are student drivers pulling into the lot without enough time to park and get to class, so they are ignoring the "no-student-parking-beyond-this-point" sign. The tug into summer is strong. Students, stay focused until the end. You've worked hard all year, so finish strong.
Senior check-out is next week. Seniors must have all books, athletic uniforms, computer devices, etc, scanned and returned before they can be cleared for graduation. Teachers can be hard to find in the afternoons, so students should be prepared to get all items turned in during their classes before Friday.
During finals week, Enrichment time is built in for students who need to meet with teachers. Teachers will be in their classrooms from 8:30-9:30 on Monday-Thursday of finals week to assist students. Enrichment in the afternoon on Monday-Wednesday are by appointment only. Students are to contact teachers to schedule time.
Have a peaceful Memorial Day Weekend,
