Who We Are

Lynbrook High School is proud to serve a diverse population of students, with varied academic and extracurricular interests. In addition to the academic honors and accolades that our school, students and staff have received, our many co-curricular and extra-curricular programs include state and national award-winning music, drama, dance and speech and mathematics competition teams. An extensive athletic program includes 44 competition teams.

The Fremont Union High School District strives to provide all students with high quality personal, academic and vocational guidance. At Lynbrook High School students prepare for post high school success by engaging in career assessments and exploration activities through the Career Center and Library/Media Center, and plan appropriate post-secondary education with the help of four assistant principals, three guidance counselors, and Career Center and Library staff. Ongoing intervention programs are provided for students who need them. Special education students are provided with transition plans and specialized work training programs.

Parents and community members also play an active and important role in the life of Lynbrook, participating in the School Site Council, PTSA, Athletic Boosters, Lynbrook Instrumental Music Boosters (LIMB) and other groups that help support and fund programs that benefit our students.

To support our English Learners’ families and bilingual parents, the Lynbrook Bilingual Committee works to increase bilingual parent participation in school life. The committee informs bilingual and English Learner (EL) parents about school culture and procedures, as well as facilitates communication between the school and bilingual families. Parents new to the school are offered support in navigating school procedures with one of the mentors. An English Learners Advisory Council participates at the District level to address the specific educational needs of the EL population.
