Lynbrook Legends
The Lynbrook campus opened to 9th and 10th graders in 1965. The first Viking class to graduate from Lynbrook was the Class of 1968. Since then, thousands of students have made their way across our campus to the graduation stage and out into the world. So many have left Lynbrook to live extraordinary, dynamic, impactful lives. We are excited to introduce the Lynbrook Legends Award to honor our Vikings who are "great among giants." This initiative is designed to honor distinguished alumni and uplift and inspire today's students. Through this program, we aim to celebrate alumni whose lives after Lynbrook serve as beacons of perseverance, creativity, and achievement—their legendary stories will ignite optimism and confidence in our current students.
What is a Lynbrook Legend?
A Lynbrook Legend is not defined by fame or wealth but by the impact they’ve made. Legends chase their dreams, initiate positive change, and lead in ways that inspire others. They serve as living proof that the possibilities in life extend far beyond what one might imagine during high school. By sharing their journeys, these alumni offer current students the priceless gift of perspective. Our Lynbrook legends will help current students imagine a vast world of possibilities and the potential within themselves to lead purposeful and impactful lives.
We will ask our legendary honorees to reflect, “Given what you know now, what advice and encouragement would you give your high school self?” We expect their responses and stories will resonate deeply with our students and motivate students to dream big and pursue their paths with confidence.
