Vikepound Sales: Hey Vikings! Vikepound sales at lunch have been moved to the ASB Den, Room 006A for today only. Vikepounds are $15 for 12 characters including spaces and $1 extra for each additional character. Get yours today! Sales will continue at lunch every day and close next Thursday.
Movie Night: Hey Lynbrook! Come out to the first MOVIE NIGHT, next Friday, September 27, in the Quad from 7:30pm-10pm. Admission is free, but bring your ID Card. The movie will be Crazy Rich Asians. There will be soda, candy, hot chocolate (yumm), and FREE popcorn. It’ll be cute and cozy, and there will be beanbags and blankets there, but remember to bring your own! You can come with friends or invite friends from different schools, with a guest form. All guest forms can be printed out on the ASB website and will be due to Dr. Chan by Wednesday, September 25. PTSA Night on the Quad: Night on the Quad is back!! Please join us on Thursday, September 26 for the annual PTSA-sponsored Night on the Quad. The event will be from 5:30PM-7:30PM in our new Quad and Cafe. There will be food trucks, club exhibits, student performances, a raffle and much more! Hope to see you there!
Lost and Found: Lost and Found: Are you missing a water bottle, jacket, or lunch box? Check the lost and found located in the back of the office. All unclaimed items will be donated to Goodwill on Friday, September 27, 2019 at 4PM.
AP Testing Registration: This year, registration for AP exams will be from September 16-October 4. The exam fee is $115 for regular format exams and $125 for special format (World Language, Music Theory, and Studio Art) exams. All students who are planning to take one or more exams will need sign up through Infinite Campus or in ASB office. There will be no late registration and no refunds, so students will need to plan carefully. AP exams will take place from May 4-15, 2020. ASB Legislative Council Applications: Interested in Student Government? Legislative Council is a group of student leaders that serve as a bridge between staff, students, and ASB. This is a great opportunity for students of all grades to gain leadership experience, create change on campus, and champion the student body's voice. As a Leg Council Rep, you attend biweekly meetings on Tuesday tutorials and present to an assigned 3rd period class. You'll often be the first to find out new information about events, vote and keep ASB accountable, and voice your opinion on school matters such as passing newly proposed clubs. Reflections 2019-2020: Announcing Reflections Art Program 2019-2020! Unleash your creative talents, express yourself, experience the fun and joy of making art, tap into your critical-thinking skills to create art inspired by the annual theme - “LOOK WITHIN”. The categories are Dance Choreography, Literature, Photography, Film Production, Music Composition, and Visual Arts. Homework Center: Get started on your assignments at Homework Center - Mondays, Wednesdays or Thursdays, 3:30PM-5PM in the Library! Teacher tutors are available to help you. Mondays - English and Math teachers; Wednesdays - English, Math and Physics teachers; Thursdays - English teacher. Bring your Student ID card if you wish to check out a textbook.
Challenge Success Freshmen Wellbeing Panel: Feeling overwhelmed? Feeling stressed? Come out to the Challenge Success Wellbeing Panel on Tuesday, September 24th at lunch in the auditorium. We will be having multiple guest speakers talking about how to manage different aspects of student life. In addition, you will learn about the exciting activities Lynbrook offers. Girls' Varsity Volleyball Boba Fundraiser: Do you love boba? Do you want to support Lynbrook volleyball? Girls' varsity volleyball will be holding a fundraiser in the Quad on Tuesday, September 24, from 2:45 to 4 pm! We will be selling PMT and delicious fruit teas from Tpumps for $5 each. Enjoy a refreshing drink and help us support Lynbrook volleyball! We hope to see you there!
Volleyball: The Girls’ Volleyball teams started their league season with convincing victories over Wilcox, 3-0 and 2-0, for Varsity and JV, respectively. Victoria Marysheva led all players with 10 kills. Our next contest is against Santa Clara at their house, then we play at home vs Saratoga.
