On April 6, 1924, eight U.S. Army Air Service pilots and mechanics in four airplanes left Seattle, Washington, to carry out the first circumnavigation of the globe by air. They completed the journey 175 days later on September 28, after making 74 stops and covering about 27,550 miles.

Santa Clara Youth Commission:  Learn about the future of sustainable technology at the virtual Sustainable Tech for Environmental Minds (STEM) Conference on Saturday, April 17th from 1–4 p.m.! The City of Santa Clara Youth Commission is hosting the event to bring youth together in the movement to protect our futures and the future of the environment through technological innovation. Homework Center:  Homework Center is now VIRTUAL!  Hours:

Tuesdays 3:30 - 5:00pm

Wednesdays 2:00 - 3:30pm

Thursdays 3:00 - 4:30pm

Homework Center is open to all students who would like assistance with schoolwork.  Peer tutors are available to help with most subjects during Homework Center hours. Book Pick up/ Exchange:  If you have a general book to exchange or pick-up you can do so on the following days:

  • Tuesday 11am-2pm 
  • Wednesday 10am-2pm 
  • Friday 11am-2pm 

During these times, drive through the staff parking lot and to the back of the library.  Upon arrival, call the library phone number 408-366-7731 and state your student ID number, what you need to pick up or exchange--be sure to include the teacher's name and the course.  Wait in your car until your materials are brought out.  Exit the car, wearing a mask and pick up your materials.  Please do not call the phone number until you have arrived at the back of the library.



Lynbrook Science Fiction Club:  What do you think of when you hear science fiction? Spaceships? Extraterrestrials? Intergalactic civilizations? What about a forecast of the future, or an inspiration to those who seek to advance humanity? Science Fiction is a rich genre with a huge following worldwide. Philosophy, action and adventure, politics, technology -- you name it, scifi’s got it! In our meetings, we’ll be talking about these aspects and different sci-fi franchises: Star Wars, Star Trek, Dune, Ender’s Game, & Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to name just a few!
We’re building a science fiction community at Lynbrook to discuss and learn about the different aspects of this genre. Lynbrook Boys Volleyball Tryouts Interest Form:  Boy's Volleyball will be having tryouts for the 2021 school year beginning April 5th, and pre-tryout conditioning will begin the week of March 1st. Pre-tryout conditioning is a great way to student athletes to prepare physically and mentally for the season as well as get to know teammates and coaches.
