News Bulletin

On this day in 1901 – Governor Benjamin Odell Jr. signed a law that makes New York the first state to require license plates on cars.  The initial plates used the owner’s initials until 1903 and then used numbers thereafter.  Motorists must make their own plates, and they do so with a variety of materials, including wood and leather until the state began to issue plates in 1910.

Commemorative Bricks - Order your commemorative brick or tile!  A perfect way to show your Viking pride! This is a wonderful way to recognize families, students, alumni and to show your Viking Spirit. Standard commemorative bricks will be placed at the Stadium Entrance. Tiles will be placed in two locations (i.e. swim tiles by the pool, gym tiles by the gym/quad).  https://www.engravedbricks.com/campaign/Lynbrook
