Lynbrook receives its accreditation through WASC, the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Accreditation is a process by which a school is evaluated to determine its impact on learning through adherence to mission, goals, and reflection on practice.
Lynbrook produces an annual School Plan that is directly related WASC goals. In other words, our school goals reflect WASC recommendations. Lynbrook is currently mid-cycle in the ongoing 6-year process. We will be undergoing a WASC check in during the 2018-2019 school year.
For more information on WASC, please refer to the ACS WASC website
School Plans are written and submitted yearly to the Superintendent and the FUHSD School Board. It is intricately connected to the school's WASC self-study.
When we began our most recent 6-year WASC process, the School Plan for 2015-2016, included a recommendation that we update our Technology Plan as it specifically relates to WASC goals.
Lynbrook High School's Technology Plan reflects our vision, mission, school goals and objectives to implement a comprehensive, coordinated and focused technology program. This plan is consistent with Lynbrook High School's Schoolwide Learner Outcomes that can be found in the 2016 Focus on Learning Self-Study WASC report. The plan will be developed, implemented, reviewed and improved over the course of five years, between 2016-2021. The LHS Technology Committee believes that the effective implementation of our plan's goals has the potential to improve student achievement and increase staff productivity.
