The Lynbrook PTSA offers four separate $500 scholarships/awards to senior students in recognition of their various contributions to the school. We encourage all qualifying students to apply. We also welcome nominations in the service categories. The awards will be presented to winners at the school's senior awards night.

All applications and nominations must be received in the PTSA mailbox in the school office or by email to lhsptsapresident@gmail.com by April 20th, 2009 at 3 pm.
PTSA Essay Contest
Senior Award amount: $500.00
Description: Award recognizes the senior who writes the best personal essay on how the PTSA has enhanced the student's high school experience.
Application: Well-written essay that demonstrates an understanding of PTSA programs and how they can be of benefit to students.
Criteria for selection: best-written essay. Must be PTSA member. (It is never too late to become a member!)
PTSA Reflections Program
Senior Award amount: $500.00
Description: Award recognizes the senior participant of the PTSA Reflections Program who has participated regularly in Reflections, and whose entry, during any high school year, has gone furthest in the national contest.
Application: List of year of participation and the categories entered, and the level of recognition that the entries reached.
Criteria for selection: most regular participation (including senior year) and awards won. Must be PTSA member. (It is never too late to become a member!)
