Lynbrook Bilingual/Multicultural Committee

The Lynbrook Bilingual/Multicultural Committee is a subcommittee of the PTSA whose charge is to obtain increased bilingual parent participation in school life.

The committee works to inform bilingual and English Learner (EL) parents about school culture and procedures, as well as to facilitate communication between the school and bilingual families.

Parents new to the school can ask for support in navigating school procedures by contacting one of the mentors listed below.

Class available for PARENTS!

Would you like to improve your English? This class is open to Lynbrook parents and parents of students at other FUHSD schools and local middle schools. The course is multi-level but focuses on people with an intermediate level of English. Class includes conversation, grammar review, idioms, vocabulary building, and common American phrasing. We also cover parenting topics, community involvement, and understanding the American school system. Open enrollment - students can enroll during class at any time and will be given a placement test to determine if the class is appropriate for them. M/Th 8:30-11:00 am, Room 78 (next to girls’ locker room, facing student parking lot). Instructor: Janice Soderberg, soderb@earthlink.net if you have questions
