Information & Tryouts- New Info.!

Any boys interested in trying-out for our Varsity or Frosh-Soph Boy's Basketball Teams this fall should introduce themselves to Coach Kenworthy in the Boy's P.E. office sometime in September or early October at the latest. Coach Kenworthy will be running after-school open gyms for all basketball enthusiasts beginning in October.

The first official day of tryouts is November 2nd, but all required Physical Exam and eligibility forms must be completed and turned into Coach Kenworthy prior to this date or your child cannot try-out. There are no exceptions. Any boy wishing to tryout for basketball or any athletic team, must pick up the Physical Exam Paperwork from the Main Office or Boy's P.E. Office, then must take this paperwork to the certified medical doctor who gives the prospective player his Physical Exam. Physical Exams must be done sometime between June 20th and the first day of tryouts for their desired sport.

Because scheduling a physical exam might take some time due to doctors' busy schedules, we highly recommend parents schedule Physical Exams for their sons at least two months before tryouts begin, so the required Physical Exam is completed and paperwork turned-in prior to the first tryout date. If your son had a Physical Exam to participate in football or on our Cross-Country Team this fall, then there is no need for him to get another Physical Exam, as that Physical Exam is good for all sports for the entire school year.

All paperwork necessary for trying-out for Boy's Basketball can be obtained from Coach Kenworthy, and if you or your son has any questions they should email Coach Kenworthy at tim_kenworthy@fuhsd.org.
